Cabin Stage at Bass Coast 2018-2024
Coordinator/ build team manager/ CAD artist
In 2018 I designed and built the DJ booth for what was then Radio Stage at Bass Coast festival, with friend and collaborator Jessica Bedford.
When the festival returned from Covid hiatus in 2022, my brother and I were contacted to manage the build of the brand new Cabin Stage. With only a month and a half to prepare, I took rough dimensions and turned them into usable CAD drawings, while we assembled a team, ordered materials and made a plan. Each summer since then, I have worked as the project manager alongside my brother, Ben Pearson, to resurrect the thirty foot, cantilevered A-frame structure which serves as the container for so much music, art and capacity for transformational experiences.
My responsibilities include building and training a team of skilled carpenters, artists, machine operators, and volunteers, ensuring a safe work environment, designing and overseeing the deployment of environmental elements such as dance platforms, lighting structures, front of house, Bar, and of course tearing it all down at the end of the festivities.
